Description

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting areas such as language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing ability.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, and family members to ensure a coordinated care approach.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and their families, promoting progress beyond clinical settings.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain comprehensive care throughout the patient journey.
  • Keep detailed documentation according to state regulations and organizational policies in a timely manner.
  • Engage in continued learning and peer discussions to stay up-to-date with advancements in the field.

Education

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in your path to ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • A current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
