Description

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy, concentrating on communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to ensure a unified approach to patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families to enhance progress and understanding beyond the confines of your sessions.
  • Support inpatient evaluations and interventions when necessary, ensuring seamless continuity in care.
  • Document all findings and interactions accurately and promptly, adhering to all relevant guidelines.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and engage with fellow clinicians to keep abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

  • Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment is required.
