American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an outpatient role requiring AK PT license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Outpatient physical therapy setting at a critical access Level IV trauma center
- 5x8 day shifts, Monday to Friday, starting at 8:30 a.m. or 9:00 a.m.
- Rare weekend on-call shifts of 4 hours on Saturday or Sunday
- Floating may be required occasionally to Acute, SNF, and ICU within scope
- Typical caseload includes general orthopedic and neurological diagnoses such as RTC impingement, hip impingement, osteoarthritis, vestibular/balance impairment, and generalized deconditioning
- All standard PT interventions utilized including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities
- Uses standard rehab gym equipment, machine and free weights, and pneumatic compression devices
- EMR experience (Epic) preferred but not required
- Main responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions in the outpatient setting
- Team structure may require floating to other units based on facility needs
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Parking is free for staff
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Return staff must have at least one year separation from the health system before eligibility
- No restrictions on requested time off
- Some holiday coverage may be required
- No required modules or training prior to start
- Active AK PT license required by start date or proof of application if not currently licensed (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of PT experience required
- Prior travel experience preferred but not required
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
