Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages, employing both standardized assessments and observations to identify their unique needs.
  • Create customized treatment strategies that effectively target both immediate challenges and long-term speech, language, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver dedicated one-on-one therapy sessions focusing on enhancing communication skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise holistic care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress made during therapy sessions.
  • Provide insight through inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, safeguarding unwavering continuity of care throughout the healing journey.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in accordance with local, federal, and organizational requirements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay abreast of the latest research and practices in speech-language pathology.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification has not been obtained.

Certifications

  • State licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is essential within 30 days of hire.
