Description
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing standardized assessments and observational approaches.
- Craft individualized treatment strategies targeting immediate goals alongside prolonged communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
- Deliver specialized one-on-one speech therapy focused on essential areas such as communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
- Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies.
- Provide education to patients and their families, equipping them with tools to continue progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Occasionally assess and treat patients in inpatient settings, ensuring care continuity throughout their recovery journey.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to both state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies.
- Commit to ongoing learning through professional development and engagement with colleagues in the field.
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting.
