Description

• Conduct assessments across various populations, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups, utilizing both standardized evaluation tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to immediate needs and encourage long-term improvement in communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities.
• Deliver individualized therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication skills, fluency, articulation, and safe swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team comprising physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, and families to ensure a well-rounded care approach.
• Educate patients and families on strategies to promote progress and support continued improvement beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions sporadically, providing comprehensive care throughout the patient's rehabilitation process.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans in a precise and timely manner in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and education to remain informed about the latest practices in speech-language pathology.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred possession of Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
