Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients utilizing respected assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored therapy plans to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care approaches.
• Provide education for patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in the occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Keep detailed and current documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage with professional development opportunities and stay informed about advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within one month of employment.
