Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving K-12 students primarily in elementary grades with some high school support, located in Hyattsville, MD. The position runs from September 2025 through June 2026 as a contract role within the school year calendar. As an integral member of the educational team, you will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, providing individualized assessments and speech-language therapy services. Collaboration with teachers, staff, and families is key to ensuring each student receives appropriate accommodations and targeted interventions supporting their academic and communicative growth. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough speech and language assessments and develop tailored therapy plans Provide direct therapy sessions addressing diverse speech and language needs Collaborate with educators to implement classroom accommodations and modifications Monitor student progress, adapting strategies to meet evolving goals Participate actively in IEP meetings to establish and review objectives Offer guidance and resources to parents and caregivers to reinforce student success Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure Experience working with school-aged children Strong communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of IEP processes and educational regulations Benefits include competitive hourly pay, scheduled school hours with vacation aligned to the academic calendar, and guaranteed work hours.
