Job Overview:
RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified part-time Physical Therapist in our Outpatient Department in Somerville, NJ. Located onsite at the hospital, the Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services in accordance with the New Jersey Practice Act, standards of accreditation and State regulatory bodies, and the Code of Ethics of the APTA. Our location offers specialized programs for management of disorders such as Parkinsons Disease, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (male, female and transgender) and Lymphedema management.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy at the Doctorate or Masters level
- Licensed in NJ
Preferred:
- Active membership in a professional organization
- Experience with Post Stroke patients and post surgical patients
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- BLS certification through American Heart Association
Pelvic Floor Certification, LSVT Certification and Lymphedema Certified appreciated but not required
Scheduling Requirements:
- Day Shift, 24 hours/week (includes Sundays and 2 weekdays)
- Part Time Schedule
Essential Functions:
- Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills are required for intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary communication
- Examines and evaluates patients upon referral from a physician, podiatrist, dentist, or nurse practitioner
- Plans and implements specific treatment for patients to reverse impairments, restore function, and facilitate the development of skills essential for adaptive and productive living
- Participates in PI and physical therapy clinical education programs
