A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support elementary students within an educational setting in Joliet, IL. This contracted role offers an opportunity to work approximately 34 hours per week during the 2025/2026 school year, focusing on a caseload of 40-50 elementary students. The schedule runs from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a 50-minute lunch break, providing a structured day to deliver targeted speech and language support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language intervention and support to an elementary school caseload.
  • Collaborate with licensed speech-language pathologists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and document student progress accurately and timely.
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to support student communication skills and academic success.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
  • Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
  • Familiarity with educational and healthcare settings in speech-language pathology.
