Pediatric Speech Therapist in Taylor, MI

Provide essential speech-language pathology services for a K-12 public school setting in Taylor, MI. This contract position spans from late August through early June with potential for renewal and involves working with diverse student populations across multiple educational buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language evaluations and therapy for students with various communication needs, including preschool (ECSE and drive-in programs), cross-categorical, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classrooms.
• Manage caseloads averaging 54-66 students, adjusting as necessary throughout the school year.
• Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) using the Mi-Star system.
• Perform Medicaid billing in accordance with district requirements.
• Provide itinerant services across assigned buildings, ensuring travel time is compensated.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Michigan State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Experience working in healthcare and pediatric settings, preferably within school environments.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple caseloads and documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with Medicaid billing procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
