Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Craft tailored treatment plans aimed at both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions addressing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaborate with a wide array of specialists including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to forge unified care strategies.
  • Guide patients and families through educational resources to aid progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally engage in inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to maintain comprehensive care throughout the recovery process.
  • Keep meticulous and timely records conformed to state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Remain engaged with the latest advancements in speech language pathology through ongoing education and teamwork.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been obtained.

Certifications

  • Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of hire.
