Kennedy Krieger Institute is seeking a Clinical Fellow SLP to join our Special Education team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities.
Exciting CF opportunity to work with a team of supportive SLPs. Work with elementary, high school, and transitional students (up to 21 years old) with complex communication needs and significant behavioral challenges. Many AAC/AT learning opportunities. Students earn certificates of completion as they work to develop functional life skills in this collaborative and specialized interdisciplinary setting.
What Youll Do:As a Clinical Fellow, youll work alongside experienced professionals to:
- Deliver speech/language, oral motor, and feeding/swallowing assessments and treatments tailored to each patients unique needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that empower patients and families.
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary team conferences and professional development activities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with MSDE, ASHA, COMAR, and accreditation standards.
- Participate in community outreach and departmental initiatives.
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology .
- Limited License from the Maryland Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
- CPR certification.
- Bonus: Additional training in pediatric feeding/swallowing or communication disorders .
- Strong knowledge of developmental communication and feeding disorders .
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse age groups and collaborate across disciplines.
