This part-time Occupational Therapist position focuses on supporting middle school students in an educational setting within the Birmingham, AL area. Working onsite across two school sites, this role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in school-based occupational therapy to help children in grades K-8 achieve their functional and developmental goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students at the middle school level and supporting K-8 caseload across two locations
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized educational plans (IEPs), and deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to student needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to promote independence and participation in school activities
- Maintain accurate documentation, comply with school policies, and adhere to professional standards
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings
