A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to serve K-12 students during the 2025-2026 school year in Byron, IL. This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week working directly within a K-12 educational setting, providing specialized OT services to support student development and success.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy License
- Experience working in both healthcare and school environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across grades K-12
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy interventions accordingly
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
