Provides assistance with the operations of the courtesy desk, senior programs, trips, weekly lunches, and special events at the Flower Mound Senior Center. Delivers high-quality customer service to all guests and performs administrative tasks necessary for the successful operation of the Senior Center. Covers the courtesy desk, answering phones, registering members for programs, and responding to inquiries.
- Performs administrative tasks necessary for the operation of the Senior Center.
- Provides high-quality customer service and assists guests with account issues, payments, memberships, and program enrollment.
- Uses recreation software to enter memberships, process refunds, create classes, and run reports.
- Assists with setup and cleanup for special events and programs, including moving tables and chairs, sweeping and mopping floors, and disposing of trash.
- Supports marketing efforts for memberships, recreational programs, and special events.
- Monitors and maintains inventory, orders supplies, and manages distribution and control.
- Assists other Senior Center areas with special events, facility rentals, and facility coverage.
- Serves weekly meals at the Senior Center.
- Attends mandatory training and in-service meetings.
- Informs supervisor of all work-related activities.
- Adheres to personnel, safety, and departmental policies and procedures of the Town.
- Assists co-workers and other divisions as needed.
- Recommends and enforces all Senior Center rules and regulations.
- Operates the 15-passenger shuttle bus on excursions around the DFW area, as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Valid State issued Class C Driver's license.
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED Certification within six months of hire.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activities including running, kneeling, bending, twisting, dragging, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. of recreational and athletic equipment, and work in adverse environmental conditions.
Desired Qualifications
One (1) year of college coursework in Parks and Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field preferred.

- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to maintain effective and pleasant working relationships with citizens, the public, employees, and volunteers.
- Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
