Description

• Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions aimed at improving fluency, language, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to streamline patient care.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage continued progress during and after clinic visits.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations to foster seamless care transitions.
• Ensure meticulous record-keeping in compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), especially if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
