Job Description:

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates a patient 's mobility and motor assets and liabilities for functional performance. The Physical Therapist provides goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment to promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks. As a member of the health care team, the physical therapist works closely with other rehabilitation disciplines, nursing, physicians, and case managers to provide patient-centered care. Patient/family and community education are essential components of this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' mobility and motor function to assess functional performance

• Develop and implement goal-directed , activity-oriented treatment plans

• Promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care

• Provide patient, family, and community education on physical therapy and rehabilitation

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records

• Stay current with best practices and emerging techniques in physical therapy

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program

• Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license

• Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Preferred

• Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings

• Additional certifications in specialized physical therapy techniques

Education and Experience

• Graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program

• Relevant clinical experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license

• Current BCLS certification
