Job Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized techniques and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate needs and persistent goals related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions centered on communication skills, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure integrated care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and their families to enhance progress in their home environments.
• Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, facilitating continuity of care throughout the patients recovery journey.
• Keep thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with state regulations, federal guidelines, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional education and peer interactions to stay updated with advancements in the field.

Education Requirements

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Licensure and Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
