Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and elderly populations through standardized assessments and hands-on observational techniques.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans that reflect both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions that focus on communication clarity, linguistic development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing needs.
  • Engage in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge unified care strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families, empowering them to support their progress beyond the clinical setting.
  • Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care throughout their healing journey.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely records aligned with pertinent state, federal, and organizational policies.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through continued education and peer interaction.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

  • State licensure is required as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • CCC-SLP certification from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
