Assistant Clinical Professor -Occupational Therapy Doctorate

The Occupational Therapy Doctorate program at Rocky Mountain College invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, in-person position at the Assistant Clinical Professor level (non-tenure-eligible). Successful candidates will be chosen for their expertise in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to, introductory courses, neuroscience, research methods, health and wellbeing, assistive technologies, leadership and management. Additionally, they will advise and mentor students for research and doctoral capstone experience, facilitate experiential and community-based components of the OTD curriculum, and participate in program and institutional committees and other service activities that support the mission of the college. With a practitioner-educator emphasis, position responsibilities prioritize teaching and advising students and fostering community connections. The proportions of teaching, research, and advising will be established in line with the needs of the program and the college.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will support and carry out the mission of the college as well as demonstrate a commitment to developing and enhancing a culture of rigor, excellence, and achievement. Occupational therapy practitioners interested in moving into the academic field are welcome, but the ability to understand the challenges and adjustments required in moving from one context to the other is required. Such practitioners should be licensed, or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist, in the state of Montana. A doctorate in Occupational Therapy is preferred, but other doctorate-level degrees will be considered. Clinical practice experience as an occupational therapist is required. This position begins no later than July 1, 2026, although an earlier start date, as early as January 1, 2026, may be possible. Salary starts in the high 80k's, and is commensurate with experience.
