A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available in Columbus, Ohio, supporting K-12 students at a school serving deaf or hard of hearing children. This leave contract begins August 18, 2025, through November 3, 2025, with strong potential to extend through the full school year.
This role involves typical SLP responsibilities including administering evaluations, conducting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and providing both direct and indirect speech-language therapy services. You will work with a varied caseload across all K-12 grade levels, focusing on tailored interventions to meet the unique communication needs of students with hearing impairments.
Desired qualifications and experience include:
- Possession of a valid Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Professional Pupil Service License in Speech-Language Pathology; emergency certification may be considered with appropriate superintendent approval
- Credentials as an SLP with Clinical Certification of Competence (CCC) are preferred
- Experience delivering healthcare and pediatric speech therapy services
- Comfort and proficiency with teletherapy methods
- Experience working in school settings and Knowledge of school-based IEP processes
- Recent graduates with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations aligned with state standards
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans
- Provide individual and group therapy services using evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and regulatory requirements
