The Dover and Sherborn Public Schools seek a Long Term Sub Occupational Therapist to support children (K-5), staff, and families within the elementary and high school levels, beginning immediately through October 31, 2025. This is a part-time position

Potential Flexibility Around Part Time or Full Time

The certified Occupational Therapist provides quality school-based occupational therapy services, including assessment/evaluation, intervention/treatment, IEP planning and implementation, discharge planning, related documentation, and communication between teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families. Develop strength-based, child- and family-centered IEPs/504 plans. Conduct assessments, analyze results, and write reports. Perform evaluations of mobility, muscle tone, and orthopedic needs. Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with all guidelines. Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and service logs. Educate families on therapy techniques for home use. Collaborate with families, teachers, and professionals. Use high-expectation, inclusive instructional practices tailored to diverse learners. Plan accessible, engaging lessons with clear goals. Foster active family involvement in school and the classroom. Reflect on and improve professional practice through data analysis and collaboration.
