Job SummaryAs a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will contribute to patient care by identifying issues, providing information, and executing therapy directives. You will document patient progress accurately and assist patients with exercises, functional activities, and the use of supportive devices.
Responsibilities- Support Physical Therapists by performing manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises.
- Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement patient management plans to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens and wellness strategies.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
- At least one year of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred.
- Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Washington.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and team members.
- Proficient in documentation and electronic medical records systems.
- Capable of independent judgment, critical thinking, and prioritization.
- Comfortable using current technology, including Microsoft Office.
