Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments alongside observational methods.
  • Craft tailored treatment plans that focus on both immediate goals and long-term strategies in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
  • Engage in personalized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop seamless care approaches.
  • Provide valuable education for patients and their families to bolster progress outside the therapy room.
  • Participate in select inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a cohesive care experience for every individual.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards, ensuring compliance and quality care delivery.
  • Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in your field through ongoing education and collaborative teamwork.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
