Job Description

  • Conduct assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized measures and observational insights.
  • Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Implement individualized speech therapy focused on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Cooperate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to develop integrated care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and families to aid progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation according to state, federal, and institutional standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and peer collaboration to stay updated on advancements in the field.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
