Job Responsibilities
  • Create Customized Therapy Plans: Assess the unique needs of patients and develop individualized treatment strategies to help them reach their functional aspirations.
  • Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based practices to improve patients motor capabilities, cognitive function, and daily living skills.
  • Engage with Multidisciplinary Teams: Partner closely with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide well-rounded, comprehensive care.
  • Educate Patients and Families: Instruct patients and their caregivers on effective therapy techniques to facilitate continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Track Patient Progress: Monitor and document clinical outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient progression.
Education Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Ongoing education or post-graduate certifications are encouraged and supported
Licensure
  • Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
  • NBCOT certification is mandatory
