DPT / Physical Therapist

  • Washington, District of Columbia
  • Full Time
Imagine a place where each working day offers the chance to help someone take their first steps after surgery, regain their independence following a stroke, or rediscover their voice after battling an illness. As a DPT, you will not only facilitate healing but also play a pivotal role in restoring dignity, momentum, and hope during some of life's most challenging moments. Here, your expertise will be showcased in a location that transforms the notion of living and working into something truly inspiring.

We invite compassionate and skilled DPTs to join our dynamic team in Washington, DC, a vibrant capital with a rich cultural backdrop and an inviting community. In this stimulating environment, clinical excellence aligns with a lifestyle that balances professional fulfillment with personal enjoyment. If you are ready to make a significant impact on peoples lives, this opportunity could mark a turning point in your career.

In your role, you will assess patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, crafting tailored treatment plans that meet individual needs. You will implement physical therapy interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality. Your collaborative spirit will shine as you work alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Educating patients and their families on therapeutic goals, discharge planning, and home exercises will be among your key responsibilities.

The documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress will need to align with facility standards and regulatory guidelines. Participation in interdisciplinary conferences and care team rounds will ensure that a coordinated approach to care is maintained.

To be considered, you will need a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited program, alongside state licensure as a Physical Therapist. While CPR certification is preferred, specialized certifications such as those in neurological or geriatric care are advantageous but not mandatory.

Preferred qualifications include prior experience treating patients with complex medical and mobility issues. You should possess exceptional communication and teamwork skills, as well as comfort with using digital charting and clinical documentation systems.

In return for your dedication, we offer a competitive compensation package that includes a comprehensive array of benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, continuing education and licensure reimbursement, flexible scheduling, and generous paid time off. Youll find in our supportive team culture a wealth of opportunities for clinical advancement and personal growth.

Each day presents unique challenges, and every interaction with patients is meaningful. You will be guiding individuals through the initial stages of their recovery, whether it's helping them regain post-surgery balance or supporting them as they take those crucial steps in post-stroke rehabilitation.

This is hands-on, impactful work where clinical knowledge seamlessly blends with empathy. Your role will involve thorough assessments, the implementation of focused treatment strategies, and adjustments as patients progress. You will play a crucial role in discharge planning and facilitating safe transitions back to their homes.

Your expertise will not only change lives but will also bring immediate gratification as you witness the tangible impacts of your care.

We seek a Physical Therapist who is as much about clinical excellence as they are about empathy and connection. You understand that movement is a form of medicine, that kindness can be transformative, and that progress, however small, deserves celebration. Whether you're embarking on your career journey or you have years of clinical experience behind you, if you are passionate about evidence-based care and heartfelt connections, we want to speak with you.

Become part of a movement both for your patients and your career. This position offers more than just a job; it's a true calling. As a DPT in Washington, DC, you'll be part of a passionate team of clinicians in a city that invigorates your professional and personal life. We'll help you cultivate your skills and discover the joy in work that genuinely matters. Join us, and together, lets empower people to move again while you move forward in your career.
