Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - PRN

Hours of Work- PRN, hours vary. 1 weekend shift every 6 weeks. 10% PRN premium pay. Provides physician prescribed physical therapy under a plan of care established by the PT. Instructs client and caregiver in treatment programs, precautions, and equipment use as necessary and documents client/caregiver demonstration of instructions provided. Prepares medical records, progress notes and updates care plans for each patient visit in a timely manner as per Agency policy. Is responsible to work within the guidelines and authorizations provided by the individual's insurance coverage, AND/OR Medicare guidelines. Participates with all other health care personnel in patient care planning. Performs all skilled procedures as ordered by physician and according to the plan of care established by the PT. Consults with PT regarding change in treatment. Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities as assigned Attends all patient care conferences as scheduled. Performs services planned, delegated and supervised by the PT. Associates or better in Health Services Administration.
