Job SummaryProvides respiratory care using critical thinking skills learned and refined through education and experience as a Respiratory Therapist. A Certified Respiratory Therapist demonstrates these skills by successfully completing examinations administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and earning the credential CRT. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. EducationMinimum RequiredCurrent state license.State licensure and/or "CRT" credential in accordance with the National Board of Respiratory Care.Preferred/DesiredTrainingMinimum RequiredSuccessful completion of Hospital and Departmental orientation.Preferred/DesiredSpecial SkillsMinimum RequiredBasic computer knowledge using Windows Operating system and Microsoft Office.Preferred/DesiredLicensureMinimum RequiredBLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE;CRTSuccessful completion of entry level exam for RCPs.
