Location: Vero Orthopaedics, Vero Beach, Florida
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our onsite team full-time. The OTA will work under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans, assist with patient care, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services.
Education : Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Licensure : Current and valid Florida OTA license.
Experience : Preferably 1+ year of experience in an orthopedic or outpatient physical therapy setting (new graduates with strong clinical experience are welcome to apply). Hand Experience is preferred.
Skills :
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in following treatment plans and providing feedback to supervising therapists.
Basic computer skills for electronic documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow treatment plans designed by licensed Occupational Therapists to provide therapy services that improve patients' physical function and mobility.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and modalities to promote recovery and achieve therapy goals.
Monitor and document patient progress, providing feedback to the supervising Physical Therapist for treatment adjustments as needed.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and techniques for continued care at home.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment, adhering to clinic protocols and standards.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy techniques and best practices.
