Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Contract This opportunity focuses on assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders to significantly improve patients' communication abilities and swallowing safety. The position involves direct patient care and requires a strong commitment to collaborative, patient-centered treatment. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough evaluations and provide treatment for speech, language, and swallowing disorders Complete detailed documentation including initial evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries Coordinate with insurance providers to verify patient benefits Prepare thoroughly for evaluation and treatment sessions Educate interdisciplinary staffincluding nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workerson assessment results and best practice recommendations Develop and deliver in-service training and educational presentations for staff Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms following sessions Perform patient reminder calls and assist patients and families with hospital navigation Fulfill additional duties as assigned Qualifications/Desired Experience: Valid and current Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license or certification required Experience working in hospital or healthcare settings preferred Strong clinical skills in assessment and treatment of speech-language and swallowing disorders Effective communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teamwork Ability to educate diverse healthcare staff based on latest research and standards Location: Friendship, Wisconsin
