We are recruiting for a Director of Post Acute Integrated Rehabilitation Services to provide system level leadership across our Post Acute Division while maintaining full operational responsibility for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility. This role is ideal for a clinical leader who enjoys strategy, collaboration, and driving high quality outcomes across complex care environments.

About This Role

In this role, you will support rehabilitation initiatives across the Post Acute Division, helping ensure alignment, collaboration, and continuous improvement in therapy related services. You will work closely with system partners in physical, occupational, and speech therapy to support coordinated, high quality care for patients across the continuum.

In addition to divisional leadership, you will provide full operational oversight of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility. This includes responsibility for quality outcomes, patient and customer experience, business growth, financial performance, regulatory readiness, and associate engagement. This role blends strategic thinking with hands on leadership and requires strong communication across clinical, operational, and executive teams.

What You Bring

Education

Education requirements are dependent on practice area and include one of the following:

o Masters degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

o Masters degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy education program

o Masters degree from an accredited Physical Therapy education program

o Masters degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology education program

Experience

7+ years of clinical experience in the relevant practice area

License Registration Certifications

Licensure requirements are dependent on practice area and include one of the following:

o South Carolina RN license

o South Carolina OT license with NBCOT registration

o South Carolina PT license

o South Carolina SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence

Preferred

Education

Masters or doctorate degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

Masters or doctorate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy education program

Masters or doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy education program

Masters or doctorate degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology education program

Experience
10+ years of clinical experience, including 2 years of leadership experience in the relevant practice area

What You Will Be Doing

Adhere to all Standards of Behavior

Apply strategic planning to establish departmental objectives that support organizational mission and goals

Align rehabilitation and clinical operations across post acute business units with system strategy, quality goals, and regulatory requirements

Support division wide initiatives focused on quality, patient experience, associate engagement, safety, and high reliability

Partner with leaders across Home Health, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Long Term Acute Care Hospitals, and Hospice to drive efficiency and performance improvement

Monitor divisional performance trends, identify risks, and support action planning to improve outcomes and financial stewardship

Foster collaboration among multidisciplinary teams to strengthen transitions of care and reduce avoidable readmissions

Participate in strategic planning and business development efforts that support growth and service line integration

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards across therapy related services

Provide full operational leadership of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, including quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and daily operations

Oversee financial performance, budgeting, productivity, and strategic growth of the IRF

Lead and develop interdisciplinary teams, promoting engagement, accountability, and a culture of high reliability

Ensure effective delivery and coordination of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services aligned with IRF standards of care

Drive census growth, referral development, and community outreach

Maintain readiness for CMS, DNV, CARF, and other regulatory or accreditation surveys

Use data driven decision making to improve clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and performance metrics

Optimize resource utilization to support the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing of patients
