Desired Qualifications/Experience:
- Active license to practice Audiology in Washington State
- Experience working as an Audiologist in schools or similar pediatric environments
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive audiological assessments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, teachers, and families
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and relevant documentation
- Passion for supporting diverse student populations and tailoring interventions to their needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings and diagnostic evaluations for students of varying ages
- Interpret results and provide expert recommendations for interventions or accommodations
- Work closely with educators, speech-language pathologists, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Monitor and manage assistive listening devices (such as hearing aids and FM systems) in the school setting
- Provide counseling and resources for students with hearing loss and their caregivers
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Stay current on best practices and emerging technology in educational audiology
