Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current, valid state licensure or ability to obtain prior to assignment start
- Experience in pediatric or school-based audiology is highly desirable
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Ability to develop and implement individualized hearing intervention plans
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological assessments for students of varying ages and needs
- Interpret test results and provide clear recommendations to support access to educational content
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs and 504 plans
- Fit and manage hearing assistive devices, including troubleshooting and training students and staff
- Offer in-service training and guidance on classroom accommodations and best practices for hearing health
- Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
