Cottage Hospital is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our collaborative Physical Therapy team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping patients regain function and improve quality of life through personalized rehabilitation care.
Working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the PTA provides direct patient care in accordance with established treatment plans and physician orders. You will play an important role in supporting patients across the lifespan, ensuring care is appropriate to their individual needs and stage of development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising PT
Monitor patient progress and communicate updates, changes, and outcomes to the care team
Maintain accurate and timely documentation for medical records and third-party reimbursement
Assist in coordinating re-evaluations and contribute to discharge planning
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercises
Utilize appropriate therapeutic modalities and techniques
Support departmental operations, including record-keeping and workflow coordination
Participate in team meetings, peer review, and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current PTA license in the State of New Hampshire
Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills
