Respiratory Therapist (Entry Level)

IMMEDIATE opening for an Entry Level Respiratory Therapist eager to expand working knowledge! The collaborative and patients-first RT will evaluate patients and perform tests and studies. Determine appropriate therapy and treatment options with physicians. Perform necessary procedures with non-invasive methods such as CPAP and BIPAP therapies. Assist with therapy programs for patients based on the specific instructions of Physicians. Engage in diagnostic evaluation, treatment and control of deficiencies and abnormal functions found in the patient's cardiopulmonary system. Collaborate with nursing staff to administer blood gas samples and perform basic analysis. Qualifications: Associate Degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy Active Respiratory Therapist certification 6+ months experience in Respiratory Therapy Knowledge and ability to perform basic clinical procedures (phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, various tests) as needed Experience with prior authorizations and medication refills Ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, staff and the public Effective verbal communication skills Preferred: BLS Certification, CXR Certification 6-12 Months Respiratory Therapy experience
