Qualifications & Background:

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
• Ability to adapt strategies to individual student needs
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage a flexible caseload
• Familiarity with assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and relevant technology considered a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy interventions to students based on their individual education plans
• Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists, teachers, and support staff to implement strategies that foster students physical, social, and academic development
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insightful reports on student progress
• Document all therapy sessions and maintain thorough and timely records
• Support classroom modifications and recommend adaptive tools or activities
• Deliver education and guidance to teachers and families to empower them in supporting students needs
• Adjust plans and interventions based on ongoing assessment and feedback
