School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Council, Idaho

Key Qualifications:

• Active COTA certification with credentials to practice in Idaho
• Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Ability to implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of licensed OT
• Strong knowledge of sensory integration, fine/gross motor skills, and adaptive strategies for classroom success
• Collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Commitment to professionalism, organization, and confidentiality

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as prescribed in their IEPs
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in student evaluations
• Collaborate with teachers, OTs, and other staff to adapt learning materials and environments
• Assist with therapy-related equipment and classroom modifications
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for carryover
• Participate in IEP and team meetings as appropriate
