Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Hospital Rehabilitation | Farmington, NM - 13-Week Contract

Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Farmington, NM | 13-week hospital rehab contract. Join a dedicated rehabilitation team in Farmington, NM (Four Corners region) and provide hospital-based SLP services in a modern 16-bed rehabilitation division while enjoying access to outdoor recreation and a vibrant local community.

Job Details - SLP Jobs in New Mexico

* Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690 - $1,820

* Location: Farmington, NM 87401 (Northwest New Mexico)

* Facility: Hospital Rehabilitation Division (16 beds)

* Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 17, 2026 - August 16, 2026)

* Shift: 8-hour days, Monday-Friday (40 hours/week)

* EMR: Cerner (experience with Cerner EMR is a plus)

* Dress Code & Parking: Black scrub bottoms with grey scrub top; on-site parking

Job Requirements / Qualifications

* Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in hospital or rehab settings

* Active SLP license in New Mexico OR willingness to obtain state licensure (candidates with pending NM license will be considered)

* Experience evaluating and treating dysphagia, cognitive-communication, speech, and language disorders

* Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary rehab team

* ASHA CCC-SLP and/or BLS certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities - Hospital SLP / Rehab Therapist

* Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders in an inpatient rehabilitation/hospital setting

* Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and document clinical progress in Cerner EMR

* Conduct dysphagia assessments and implement safe swallow strategies and therapy plans

* Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational and physical therapists, and other clinicians to optimize patient outcomes

* Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home carryover strategies, and discharge planning

* Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
