Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students in grades 6-12 as a Speech Language Pathologist through the 2026-2027 school year. In this contract position, you'll collaborate closely with the Director of Special Education and a dedicated team, managing a caseload of 70-80 students. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference, bringing creativity and encouragement to those who need it most. Qualifications: Active WA SLP license required Experience working with special education populations and their families Background in assessment, evaluation, and consultation Ability to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere using humor and fun Strong relationship-building skills with staff, students, families, and community partners Working knowledge of the full spectrum of special education processes and categories Experience planning, organizing, and executing all stages of special education identification Skilled communicatoractive listening, open dialogue, and appropriate channel utilization SLP-CCC, Clinical Fellow (CFY), or experience in healthcare/pediatric school settings a plus Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families Maintain timely, accurate records of services and student progress Consult with teachers, specialists, and families to support student success Contribute positively to the school community, fostering engagement and growth Participate in meetings, professional development, and multidisciplinary teams In addition to meaningful work and competitive pay based on qualifications, enjoy comprehensive health, dental, vision plans and a 401(k).
