RRT Respiratory Therapist Travel Contract Rochester, NY 12-Hour Nights

Sunbelt Staffing is hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY . This role supports both acute care and LTC settings with a strong focus on critical respiratory management.

Schedule:
12-hour nights
Willing to rotate between acute & LTC care
Weekends: Every other
Call: Nights if possible 1 shift every other week

Patient Population:
Adult patients with:

• CHF
• COPD
• Pneumonia
• Respiratory failure
• Respiratory infections

Key Responsibilities:

• ABG sampling and interpretation support
• Ventilator management and troubleshooting
• Patient assessment and pulmonary hygiene
• Airway management and suctioning
• Extubation/intubation assist

Equipment Used:

• Hamilton Vent
• Servo-U Vent
• NKV330 (NIV device)
• AirVo2
• DreamStation systems
• V30 ventilators

Skills & Procedures:

• Mechanical ventilation management (BiPAP/CPAP)
• HFNC, trach collar, T-piece oxygen delivery
• Airway support (ET tube, trach care, oral/nasal airways)
• Sputum specimen collection
• High-pressure alarm troubleshooting
• Weaning from ventilation

Requirements:

• Active NYS Respiratory Therapist License
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• BLS required
• Adult Critical Care experience required
• ED experience required
