We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the direction of a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) to support clients in achieving their therapy goals through personalized, high-quality care.

Position Summary
The COTA assists with assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting occupational therapy programs for clients under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist. This role follows all corporate guidelines, policies, and regulatory standards to ensure safe, effective, and compliant care.
What You'll Do:
Assessment
Assist in assessing clients' activities of daily living (ADL) function
Communicate screening and assessment findings to the OTR
Review client conditions and complete therapy screenings as requested
Share results with clients, families, and care team members
Complete all required documentation accurately and timely
Monitor and report client progress toward goals
Assist in reassessing and updating care plans as needed
Planning
Help develop individualized treatment plans to meet client goals
Communicate therapy plans and progress with clients and families
Collaborate with the OTR regarding treatment planning and updates
Partner with the interdisciplinary team for discharge and transition planning
Support discharge planning and documentation
Ensure completion of all required discharge records
Implementation
Deliver therapeutic interventions based on the established plan of care
Prioritize treatments according to client needs and physician orders
Educate clients and families on treatment purpose and progress
Communicate ongoing updates with the care team and OTR
Maintain accurate, timely daily treatment documentation
Follow all precautions related to diagnoses and therapy techniques
Communicate changes in condition to the OTR and care team
What We're Looking For:
Current COTA certification and state licensure
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Knowledge of occupational therapy practices and documentation standards
