Job Description

Provide occupational therapy and evaluations/consultations to meet students educational needs under the direction of the Occupational Therapist. ; Communicate with Occupational and Physical Therapists. as needed ; Train staff in the use of materials and equipment; Provide direct occupational therapy services to eligible students within the District.

Administers occupational therapy to groups and individual students as designed to accomplish the education goals and objectives determined by the IEP team

Completes required documentation to support progress of students supported and services provided.

Participates in IEP team membership to support student progress.

Provides support to department activities

Education and Experience:

Graduation from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association and two years of related experience; or a combination of education/experience/training which provides for an equivalent background necessary to perform the work.

Successful completion of the National Board Examination for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working as an occupational therapy assistant in a public school district.
