This contract assignment runs from July 6th to August 14th, with a manageable schedule of 27.5 hours per week (8:15am to 2:15pm, Monday through Friday). Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students in a school environment.
  • Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to address communication and language needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and IEP goals.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of therapy sessions, student progress, and required documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals, therapy activities, and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP planning for assigned students.

Qualifications:

  • Current New York State Speech Language Pathologist license (NY SLP license required).
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates accepted.
  • Previous experience working with elementary school students preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for fostering student growth in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
