Physical Therapy Assistant - Travel Contract

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in North Carolina required.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant required, including experience providing care to geriatric patients.
• Proof of current CPR/BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance required due to home health travel expectations.
• Ability to perform physical demands of the role including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, prolonged standing and walking.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to submit clinical paperwork on time each week.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Preferred: Experience administering therapeutic modalities (heat, cold, electrical stimulation), manual therapeutic exercises, and working under interdisciplinary supervision in home health settings.

• Shift Name: Days.
• Shift Pattern: 5x8 schedule.
• Assignment Type: Travel (temporary contractor).
• Start and End: Assignment runs May through August (dates provided by client).
• Supervision: Services delivered under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Travel Requirement: Ability to travel locally to patient homes; reliable transportation required.
