How youll make an impact in this roleDirect the development and implementation of policies, procedures and strategies for rehabilitative services.
- Develop strategic goals, plans and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Plan, organize and direct all activities related to staffing, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepare budgets for service area, ensure compliance, coordinate and direct audits.
- Direct and evaluate clinical activities to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- One or more of the following required:
- Audiologist credentialed from the Kansas Adult Care Home Administrators, Audiologists, Dietitians and Speech-Language Pathologists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy (RPT) credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's
degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years
being in leadership/management.
At least 35 years of working as a physical therapist (PT), occupational therapist (OT), or speech-language pathologist (SLP)
At least 13 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting overseeing a team.
