School-Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a motivated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a school district in the Raleigh area. This full-time contract role involves working under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to help deliver therapy services to students with communication challenges. Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising SLP in implementing speech and language therapy plans
• Provide direct therapy services to students as directed by the SLP
• Support students with articulation, language, and social communication goals
• Prepare therapy materials and activities
• Document student performance and progress toward goals
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to reinforce therapy strategies in the classroom

Qualifications

• Active California SLPA license or certification
• Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Understanding of speech and language development

Education

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field

Experience

• Previous SLPA or related experience preferred
• New graduates encouraged to apply
