Were hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a hospital in Lodi, CA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role includes providing respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients, delivering aerosolized medications, facilitating secretion clearance, supporting ventilation via invasive and non-invasive devices, and performing critical monitoring of gas exchange and oxygenation. You will complete required documentation and work in an acute care environment serving patients with cardiorespiratory impairments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current state respiratory care license in good standing.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential. Required in CA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Required.
- One year experience as an RRT. Clinical experience in acute care preferred.
- Experience with electronic health record systems. EPIC and Cerner experience required for candidates covering EPIC backfill.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred.
- Three years of technical respiratory care experience preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and PEARS certifications preferred.
- Previous experience in combined Respiratory/Pulmonary departments preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 3x12 (three 12-hour shifts per week).
- Weekly hours: 36 hours per week.
- Must be able to provide EPIC and Cerner experience for EPIC backfill coverage.
- May require supervision of ancillary staff as delegated.
