We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. This role is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders while supporting overall quality of life and independence. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, person-centered care across our senior living communities. Shift: Full-Time Days Schedule: Day Shift Wage: $37.00-$40.00/hr. What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goals Provide direct speech-language therapy services in both individual and group settings Utilize evidence-based interventions to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing safety Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as needed Recommend dietary modifications and swallowing strategies when appropriate Train residents on alternative communication methods and assistive devices Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and exercises Collaborate with nursing, dietary, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and interdisciplinary teams Participate in care conferences and communicate therapy recommendations effectively Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, infection control standards, and professional ethics Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Minnesota Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team Proficiency in spoken and written English required to ensure safe patient care, accurate medical documentation, and effective communication with residents, families, and staff Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA Previous experience in rehabilitation, senior living, skilled nursing, or healthcare settings Experience working with residents experiencing cognitive decline, dysphagia, or neurological conditions Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and assist residents during therapy sessions Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds Frequent use of hands for documentation and therapy tools Ability to safely assist residents during therapy interventions and mobility activities Work Environment Senior living, rehabilitation, and healthcare facility settings Exposure to residents with varying speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairments Requires compliance with infection control and safety procedures At Episcopal Homes of Minnesota, we value a diverse, inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
